Original Pre-WWI German Brass Mounted Leather Bayonet Scabbard German Mauser 98k K98 Originally introduced in 1879Original Item: Sold as surplus in the 1970s these are original almost 12 inch long brass mounted leather bayonet scabbards designed to carry a blade of perhaps 10 inches in length. These were issued with Mauser M 98 Rifles before WW1 and were found in Brazil having been issued, in this particular case, the M 1908 Rifle bayonet which had a hooked quillon. Great for use with many similar sized bayonets these are genuine pre WW1 production bayonet
